Dental Veneers & Crowns
A filling is used to correct tooth structure lost because of tooth decay or breakage. The remaining tooth holds the filling in place and must be strong enough to stand up to chewing forces. When a large filling compromises the tooth’s strength, a crown is used to reinforce the tooth for chewing strength. Crowns cover all around the sides and over the top of a tooth; they are made of materials strong enough to withstand chewing forces.
Veneers, once synonymous with cosmetic correction, are used to replace ugly old fillings, correct mismatched color in teeth, and restore broken or chipped teeth. Veneers are now being used conservatively, instead of crowns, thanks to newer designs and advanced bonding techniques.
Crowns and veneers are made from state-of-the-art porcelain ceramic look lifelike and are almost invisible in your smile.
